Internship en français
It’s been a significant advantage to us to have had our intern Adeline on-board for the past six months.
From the Université de Bourgogne and the Université d’Avignon et des Pays de Vaucluse in France after studying for a Masters in Multimedia Translation and formerly Translation and Tourism, she has brought with her an enthusiasm around developing digital products in her own area of expertise and wider afield.
Whenever a new person is taken on over the longer term, in whatever capacity, you take a risk in investing time that could be focussed elsewhere. However, having Adeline as part of the team has been far from that. Maybe it’s her concurrent work as an Apple Specialist that helped shape her into a go-getter from the start of her internship.
Helping with Business Development as well as getting started in UX Research techniques, she has been being willing to put time aside to invest in her own learning in Lean product development and Project Management. Alongside Adeline’s Masters research she is currently sitting a MOOC in UX Fundamentals, having worked on Personas, Storyboards and User Stories. She has also optimised her busy schedule to complete a course on Agile Product Development and writing around localisation and how to co-ordinate an Internationalisation and Localisation strategy for effective eCommerce and Marketing. Needless to say, she has been invaluable to our own work as we localise towards France, Italy, Spain and China.
Adeline has brought with her an enthusiasm around developing digital products in her own specialism and wider afield.
Adeline will remain with us beyond her internship. You can read more about her guidance on Localisation in the articles below:
